The Silence Is Breaking

The start of a new week seems as good a time as any to demurely (ahem) point to recent accomplishments. After all, a site that advertises itself as “communal narcissism for the Scenic City” must be a tad narcissistic, wouldn’t you say?
To that end, we bring you news that, while many Chattanoogans are still apt to blurt out “chatta-who?” when asked by their more tuned-in friends, newspaper subscribers up the road in Knoxville are in the know, thanks to a Sunday morning Knoxville News-Sentinel column. Blogging journalist Michael Silence tipped-off his “dead wood” readers in a piece that featured Knoxify, which happens to be one of our favorite city-centric blogs.
We appreciate the mention, and we now promise to stop, er, patting ourselves on the back and get back to work at making this the best place on the web for local news and opinion.

In their defense, does narcissism need a point other than love of self?
