Encore, Please: Summer is gone, but free downtown music lives on for one more weekend as the Chattanooga Downtown Partnership presents the 3 Sisters Festival, a free bluegrass event at Ross's Landing. This year's lineup includes the Dismembered Tennesseans, Lou Wamp, Infamous Stringdusters and the Kruger Brothers. 3 Sisters begins Friday night at 6:00 p.m. and runs from 12:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Along with near-perfect weather, fall brings a host of new events, so here's the rest of your guide to getting out and enjoying a Chattanooga weekend.

Fall Home and Decor Show: The first annual event, featuring more than 150 vendors and special guests from HGTV, opens today at the Chattanooga Convention Center. And in case you hadn't guessed, the theme is "green." Hours are 12:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Friday, 10:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Saturday, and 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $7 for general show access and $10 for show access plus guaranteed seats at "star" seminars.

Rocktoberfest: In addition to the always-impressive views from Rock City, enjoy a Big River Beer Garden, German cuisine, live music, pumpkin and face painting. Big River brewmaster David Sharpe will also give Beer 101 Workshops for aspiring enthusiasts. Rocktoberfest is open from 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays throughout October.

Enchanted Maize and Forest of Fear: Rock City's Enchanted Maize is open Thursdays through Sundays all month long. Tickets are $9 for adults and $7 for children ages 4 – 12. After dark, the maize turns into the Forest of Fear, a 3-D outdoor haunt. Tickets for the Forest of Fear are $15.

Independent Film: Adam opens tonight, and runs through October 8, as part of the AEC's Independent Film Series at the Bijou.

Tennessee River Rescue: Enjoy the weather while you do something good for the environment. Saturday from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., teams will gather trash along the river banks and in the water. Volunteers will receive a t-shirt after the event.

Go! to the Zoo: The City's annual Go! Fest takes place Saturday from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the Warner Park Zoo.

Dean Karnazes: After the 9th Annual StumpJump on Saturday, Rock/Creek will host a special event featuring ultra-marathoner Dean Karnazes. Admission is free, but reserved seats are $8 and tickets to the VIP reception are $20. The VIP reception begins at 6:00 p.m. and the presentation begins at 7:00 p.m.

Banger’s Ball: Chattanooga’s wildest dance party is back, this time at Contrapasso, starting at 10:00 p.m. on Saturday and featuring BNGRZ, BACK TALK and Drugmoney. Admission is $7 for 18+ and $5 for 21+.

The Distribution: Before making their way around Tennessee and Georgia this month, the hometown favorites headline Rhythm & Brews on Saturday night.

A Market for the Dogs: This Sunday's Chattanooga Market will feature McKamey's Animal Friends and a performance by New Binkley Brothers. The market is open from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the First Tennessee Pavilion.
