From the various tweets & photos on the Chattarati pool on Flickr, it looks like everyone had a great weekend. We're taking one of our most served meals off of the menu...I'm declaring Mondays as "VW-free Monday" on the Breakfast Club. We're looking forward to VW, but we've got other links for your digestion. - Enjoy Navigating the World's Longest Yard Sale Early in August -- this year the dates are Aug. 7-10 -- an estimated 4,000 vendors line Highway 127 all the way from Defiance, Ohio, to Gadsden, Ala. That's about 630 miles of pulled pork sandwiches, cookie jars in the shape of a monk, board games you haven't thought of in decades, and piles and piles of other American ephemera. - Yes, it's that time again. Bring singles, fives and patience.



Yelliott is In-town Gallery's featured artist in August Jane Yelliott is the Featured Artist at In-Town Gallery for the month of August. Her whimsical watercolors portray beloved family members and their animal pets in a collection of new paintings she calls "Family Zoo." Visitors to the gallery can visit the artist at an opening reception on the Aug. 1 from 5 to 8 p.m. - Come out and support Chattanooga's art community! Rules of the Road But before I get too deep, and talk about things that shouldn’t be discussed in the blogosphere, I’ll tell you one thing I’d really like to change – I wish people in Chattanooga would use their signal lights. - Yes! One of my biggest pet peeves about drivers in the Chattanooga area. Maybe it comes from people driving down country roads and not having to worry about cutting off a few lanes of people. It still shocks me when we win "safest driver" awards, after driving the ridge cut and the 24 split ever.single.day for years.
