East Ridge City Manager Curtis Adams, speaking at a meeting of the East Ridge Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday, said:
"Camp Jordan is our big industry in East Ridge. If we fill that thing with tournaments, we'll have money piling in here. We're going to have a big, nice, flashing sign that you can see from the interstate. (Camp Jordan officials) will be able to change it from the office."
If Camp Jordan is East Ridge's "big industry," we are unsure as to why Mr. Adams is so proud about raising taxes. Are all the Shrine Circuses, youth indoor soccer games, and baby consignment sales not piling enough money into the city? Update: East Ridge Vice Mayor Jerry Petty and others are now speaking out on the matter.

If one makes just a casual study of area politics it becomes quite evident as to how the writers/producers of "The Dukes of Hazzard" were able to come up with so much material for the show.

so are you suggesting a new plot for the series...somehow involving a cliffhanger sequence of the general lee jumping the new flashing CJ sign?
