The Chattanooga Times Free Press is reporting that Rob Healy has filed his qualifying papers to oppose Mayor Littlefield in the upcoming March election. Given the dispute over the residency requirements, do you think he will qualify? If so, does he have a chance at unseating the mayor?

The lawyers will decide the first question.
I think even Eyeore would be more proactive than the Littlefield administration has been. If he is re-elected we all have Claude Ramsey to thank for bringing VW here. When the two of them stand together (like when VW announced) Claude just looks like a genius.
I wonder if Kevin Brady or Michelle Michaud would vote Littlefield?

I'm no Littlefield supporter either, but Healy has ZERO chance. His constant whining is turning off everyone. Plus the picture that runs in the paper everyday with the smirk on his face isn't helping. Healy needs help if he has any chance.
I wish someone would step up that has some brains & savvy. PLEASE!

I appreciate Rob Healy's previous position as director of Parks and Recreation for the city. He is definitely a straight shooter with a common-sense approach, and this is key to improving our cities management. If Chattanooga needs a mayor that will make sound, moral decisions and NOT political ones, vote Rob Healy.
By the way, it was not Ramsey who brought VW into town...but you can thank TN senator, R-Bob Corker who wined and dinned the German's at his own house...not Ramsey.
Thanks!!

I think Rob Healy would make a fine Mayor. If anyone was around when he was both the Administrator of Parks & Recreation and Outdoor Chattanooga would know that he is a man of principle. He stood by before all of the hype and was willing do what was right. He tried to create a national model withing the city and wasn't afraid to hold people accountable for doing what we pay them for. Rob has had a great success outside of city politics and knowing his past work with the Make a Wish Foundation shows that he cares about people more than political power. Will he win? Based on popularity and appearances maybe not. But we have elected a Mayor based on that and look where it has gotten us... Mr. Healy needs PR & Speech writers who can articulate his passion and vision for Chattanooga. So sign up! He can't do it alone and he's certainly not the type of "politician" that is making under the table deals that will cost us our hides for the next four years. We need a visionary who is not afraid to get rid of idle hands. And know this. Rob Healy will not ask anyone to work harder than him. He is always the first to arrive and the last leave. Look at the success of his children, his business and his friendships and you will know all you need about this Chattanooga icon. Ask Bob Coker who he is voting for???

Pfft, Hagan has no game. What a Littlefield troll. Does this person (male? female??) know anything about Mr. Healy's background or his SERVICE to the city of CHATTANOOGA? Come on now! It's obvious what Pat is trying to do. Get the facts and learn the truth between the candidates.
