The Chattanooga Football Club returns to Finley Stadium this Saturday to play Rocket City United, the current, first place team in the Southeast Conference. Chattanooga FC is looking for its third consecutive victory after beating Atlanta FC, 1-0, last Saturday in Atlanta, GA. Chattanooga FC last played Rocket City United on May 31, losing by one goal. The local club (2-2 for the season) hopes that having the home field advantage will give them an edge in the upcoming matchup as it did against Saturn FC two week ago.
According to the team's press release, Chattanooga FC has the largest fan base in the National Premier Soccer League, averaging around 1,500 fans at each home game. Referring to the upcoming matchup, Sheldon Grizzle said, “We are really encouraging fans to bring out as many noise making devices as possible...drums, horns, shakers. Whatever can make it louder.” Chattanooga FC will play Rocket City United at Finley Stadium. The game starts at 7 p.m., Saturday, June 20. Tickets for adults are $5, and kids are $3.
