This weekend's main event is the 4th Annual Downtown Chattanooga Gallery Hop, presented by AVA and the Chattanooga Downtown Partnership. Saturday, from 2–9 p.m., more than 20 galleries and artists' studios from St. Elmo to the North Shore will be open for the event, with many of the artists on site to discuss their work. After the Hop:
- Swing by Contrapasso at 9 p.m. on Saturday night for the World Town Afterparty featuring DJ /rupture and DJ K789. Admission is $10.
- Saturday from 7–9 p.m., check out the Young Monster Art Show at Collective Clothing.
- Friday night and Saturday, our the Our Clothesline Art Show in St. Elmo.
Free Music Downtown:
- Carlene Carter headlines Nightfall at Miller Plaza tonight, which kicks off with Roger Allen Wade at 7 p.m.
- Nashville legend Webb Wilder plays Riverfront Nights on Saturday at 7 p.m. at Ross’s Landing.
- DJ /rupture will be at CreateHere for a World Town lecture and brief performance.
Outdoors Indoors: Tennessee Bouldering Authority is hosting an ABS (American Bouldering Series) Indoor Bouldering Competition on Saturday from 12–4 p.m. Registration is $15 on Saturday.
Football at Finley: The UTC Mocs face off against conference rival Furman, Saturday night at 6 p.m. Check out the game notes and get ready to cheer on the hometown team.
CSO Pops: The CSO, with guest artists Five by Design, presents Stay Tuned, featuring TV tunes from the 1950s, at 8 p.m. on Saturday night.
Food Film and Food: The Arts & Education Council's Independent Film Series begins on Sunday at 1 p.m. with acclaimed documentary Food, Inc. After the film, head over to 212 Market for h'ordeuvres and a discussion on the local food economy, led by a panel of three area farmers.
