VolksWATCH!

By Chattarati Staff | July 15, 2008, 8:45 a.m.

On a day when domestic auto giant General Motors is announcing another round of job cuts, all of Chattanooga is waiting with eager anticipation to hear whether German automaker Volkswagen will choose Enterprise South or a site in Limestone County, Alabama as the home of a new assembly plant. As a matter of fact, Joe has some tasty, possibly exciting news on his blog. We'll have news and analysis as soon as we hear something official. If the announcement isn't made today, we'll probably have news and analysis about it, too. Analysis like this: Isn't it a tad pathetic that we so desperately need foreign companies to come here and give us jobs? Please discuss while we wait. Or, better yet, call the Chamber and ask them.
