Volkswagen Pledges $5.28 Million to Tennessee Schools

Volkswagen AG announced that it will invest $5.28 million in K-12 schools and higher education research universities in Tennessee, today. The announcement came from Dr. Horst Neumann during a presentation at Calvin Donaldson Elementary. He told the 200 attendees, "Volkswagen needs an educated workforce and educated consumers. We plan to be good neighbors and help the entire community." During the presentation, VW executives listed several state universities that will receive funds over the course of the next 5 years, including: UTC, UTK, ORNL, Chattanooga State, MTSU, TSU, and Fisk University.
