4 Bridges Arts Festival announces partnership with locally-based Quiddity Entertainment
Chattanooga, Tenn...The 10-year anniversary of the nationally-recognized 4 Bridges Arts Festival will take place April 17 & 18, 2010, in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
As part of the anniversary celebration, 4 Bridges is partnering with the locally-based event management company, Quiddity Entertainment, to take the festival’s historic success to the next level.
“4 Bridges has become one of the most recognized arts festivals in the country,” AVA Executive Director Christa J. Mannarino said. “The growth the festival has experienced and the recognition it has begun to receive nationally has motivated us to keep cultivating it to its fullest potential. Since we are celebrating the 10th year, we wanted to make the festival bigger and better than ever.”
Quiddity’s capabilities and experience include producing large-scale outdoor festivals, corporate events, specialized competitions and destination management services. “We’re excited to be involved with a vibrant, growing festival like 4 Bridges,” stated Kent Underwood, Quiddity Entertainment president. “AVA has done a wonderful job in creating this event, and we look forward to helping expand the festival to a national audience.”
The 4 Bridges Arts Festival is produced by the Association for Visual Arts (AVA), a local non-profit organization with the mission of promoting, advocating and supporting original visual art and local artists.
Some of the changes being made through the help of Quiddity include offering attendees a more artistic selection of food, instead of the typical “fair food” that was present at past festivals and also offering a variety of fine wines in a cafe setting for the first time.
The 4 Bridges Arts Fesitval serves a significant role in supporting the artistic and cultural vitality of the community, representing an overall $1.5 million in economic impact over the course of the weekend. The festival supports and develops arts leadership in the community, expands cultural tourism for Chattanooga, educates the community about the arts, and celebrates the importance of the community’s cultural life and sense of place. ln 2009, the festival hosted 15,000 attendees and 150 visual artists. An attendance of 30,000 is expected for the 10-year anniversary.
