VIDEO: Mayor Littlefield Optimistic After Presidential Election

By Matt Davis | Nov. 17, 2008, 12:11 p.m.

Chattanooga Mayor Ron Littlefield was at the Market Sunday speaking at the sixth annual Firehouse Chilli Cook-off when we had a chance to ask him a few questions. Littlefield discussed his early reactions to the presidential election, his thoughts on the economic downturn and what he thinks about Obama appointing a technology advisor.

The mayor said that he hopes everybody is feeling optimistic during this transition period. When asked if he was a 'great mayor, or greatest mayor,' he admitted that he just wants to be the 'surviving mayor' but that it is an exciting time to be the mayor of Chattanooga.
