The Hamilton County Election Commission certified March 3rd election results last Monday. The Commission formally announced the early voting schedule for the April 14 run-off election as well. Early voting will occur between March 25 and April 8 at the Election Commission site, located at 700 River Terminal Road. The run-off will determine Chattanooga City Council seats for Districts 1, 8, and 9. Incumbent Councilwoman Linda Bennett will host a political rally Thursday, March 19, at New Alfredo's Restaurant at the Wal-Mart Shopping Center in Lookout Valley. The 'Rally in the Valley' kicks off at 5 p.m. Ms. Bennett faces Deborah Scott in the District 1 run-off. The SEIU, Local 205 endorsed Pete Murphy for the District 9 council race today. Mr. Murphy is running against J.T. McDaniel.
