Very good photographs that capture the event of regular people in attendence. Much better than the other local news site that mostly focuses on close up's of the polictially appointed Department Heads. Not impressed with any of them, except for Donna Kelly and Beverly Johnson. Other than being well liked by the current administration, skills for the job are just not there.

whats his name in the hoover-around chair with the dog...
Doesn't anyone other than me ever want to ask him why he is hooked up to OXYGEN WHILE HE IS SMOKING CIGARETTES?
Everyone complains about the cost of health care.... here we go. Not only are WE paying his medicare, WE are paying for his smokes through SS.
Sorry, hate it. but true.

I looked again and do not know. Smoking with oxygen feeds is more dangerous than smoking while pumping gas, for the person and everyone around them. I am reminded by the photos that Chattanooga elected the correct person to be Mayor. He is simply absent of a term I heard yesterday, "institutional arrogance"
If his department head could follow his lead city operations would improve greatly.

I would like to ask the mayor how much it costs to get a road built.
$20,000 in donations gets a city paid million dollar built road in front of YOUR new office development!
Developer Ken Defoor's entire family living at one address each donates the maximum allowed on the same date to Ron's campaign. Glad to know that Ken's high school aged children are so politically active to donate as dad and mom did.... while they all live outside the city LOL!!
Ron wins, Ken gets a road built. North Point Blvd.
fftspam, don't kid yourself. There was a LOT more money & time behind the Northpoint Blvd extension than just one developer. Pull up the Northgate area on google map's satellite view. The Northpoint extension isn't up yet but draw a line from the old road down to the railroad tracks at Hamill. There is a lot of undeveloped land back there. It has been cleared, awaiting a road to provide easy access.
