By John Hawbaker | May 16, 2009, 11:06 a.m.

Rock City Gardens' Southern Blooms Festival, a nine-day event including lecture series, garden tours and workshops, opens today. According to President Andrew Kean, the festival is their first event developed around a new model of "intentional co-advocacy" where Rock City will align with community partners and innovative artists from around the region. The Southern Blooms Festival will help support the Chattanooga Area Food Bank and feature the first in a series of weekly concerts by the New Binkley Brothers.

Single day and three-day passes are available.
