Labor Day Politics Parade: Cobb Salad

By Joe Lance | Sept. 6, 2009, 1:42 p.m.

All the talk lately has been about the possibility of having two members of the Tennessee House of Representatives named Ty Cobb, after former Rep. Curt Cobb resigned in District 62 and his brother "Ty" announced a run for the October 13 special election to replace him. (The current Rep. Ty Cobb serves in District 64.)

But let's not forget Rep. Jim Cobb, who represents a northern section of Hamilton County and all of Rhea County; and who hosted a Labor Day event on Saturday that was reportedly attended by four TN03 candidates (all Republicans): Tommy Crangle, Chuck Fleischmann, Sheriff Tim Gobble, and Robin Smith.
